Scholastics Winners Announced!!!

Congratulations to Angela Lin, a 5th grade cheerleader for Metuchen Pop Warner, who was selected to be part of the 2010 Eastern Regional Scholastic First Team. Angela, along with the 9 other Raritan Valley Conference boys and girls will be recognized together with the other Eastern Regional scholastic first-teamers at a special luncheon, on Saturday, March 20th. Angela will have an opportunity to compete
for National Pop Warner Academic All-American status amongst each of the eight Pop Warner regions. Winners will be announced on April 1st.
For the 2009 season 25 children from Metuchen Pop Warner, including Angela, were nominated. Minimium requirements were a 96 grade point grade average. They are as follows: JR Midget Cheer - Jillian Alonso, Emily Bennett, Hayley Francobandiero, Angela Lin, Katelyn Williams, Sabrina Wojcik JPW Football - Justin Briggs, Daniel Della Ventura, Mitchel Epstein, Jonathon Hoffman, Samuel Johnson, Robert Murphy, Jake Pappalardo, Ben Pincus, Derek Shapiro, Brendan Smith, Keaton Weidmaier PW Football - Matthew Zeng, Connor Gil, Kevin Coleman , Jake Lebovits, Donald McCarthy, Devin Miller Midget Football - Vincent Iacona, John Delaney Congratulations to Angela and all our football players and cheerleaders who were nominated. That is a great accomplishment.
