Saturday, October 24th, 9:07pm.  Kenilworth cancels all playoff games for the following day due to the rain.  Towns scramble to see if they can host on Sunday.  Calls go into Athletic Directors to see about high school fields.  Half of the next day's RVC playoff schedule is in jeopardy.  Sunday morning, October 25th, Football Director, Sergio Corvil,  walks the field at Edgar.  Is it possible?  Has 'ol reliable drained enough to play on?  The answer, yes!!!!!!  Call the RVC!  Metuchen can host the games!!!  Jr Pee Wee, Metuchen vs St Cecelia's, PW, Middlesex vs Kenilworth, and Midget, Roselle Park vs Middlesex.

The MPW Board jumped into action and we want to additionally thank Frankie Barber and Kevin Martell for helping with field set-up.  Denise McPartlan, Vicki Naranjo, and Melanie Martiak really did a great job organizing spur of the moment snack bar help.  Roland Naranjo did an outstanding job running the show.  And a Huge thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to make the day a success.  From the snack bar help to the chain crew, great job.  A special thanks to the Jr Pee Football parents, led by Denise, who did the majority of the work but there were other parents who also helped out.  We're sorry we don't have all the names, but THANKS to everyone once again for showing how we get things done in Metuchen!
